Dear Jonathan,
If you haven't heard of Legal Brokers Ltd we provide Conveyancing referrals, Property Searches, PPI claims and most recently have employed 2 new staff to hunt for PI cases. We also act for law firms looking to buy or sell. In precis we provide a range of services.
As part of our plans to franchise the Searches part of the business we've spent a certain amount of time looking at the Quality Solicitors franchise.... and we believe we've come up with a cost effective option under the banner National Law... Of interest ?
We understand the Private Equity firm, behind QS, have set their sights on creating 1000 QS outlets around the country.
It's a great business model, for the investors, if firms are prepared to sign up in their droves. The chap behind the plan is an absolute genius.
The questions we're asking are... Why should firms have to promote the QS brand, in front of their own, when that dilutes the name they've been building for years ? Why should firms have to give away 5% of their turnover to join up ? Why haven't we seen any national or local advertising for QS ? How easy is it to leave QS ? Will the brand ever break through into the public consciousness ? Is the term "Quality" a slightly presumptious name aimed at attracting lawyers themselves ?
Our thoughts are such...We'll work on your "online" branding and presentation. We'll regularly update your website and make it attractive to Google so you gain more attention and hopefully business. We'll work on a yearly contract and charge £200 + VAT per month to host your website content.
We can provide signs and stationery etc if you wanted to extend the National Law branding from the online to the real world.
We'll ask for reciprocal Search work, or Ancilliary services, from which we'll reinvest 20% of the profit into advertising your brand on a local level.
In that way your success becomes our success. Quid Pro Quo.
In the future, when the relationship has settled in, we could provide conveyancing referrals and possibly PI cases.
In essence a firm would be branded along the same lines as QS but the twist being that, apart from the website, the name would be "Smith & Jones Solicitors. A national law firm." and the tag would be, "local knowledge, national strength". ie. you're the "key part" of the branding.
Your website would be NationalLaw.co.uk/yourname
We'd like to sign up 50 firms this year and then build on that. We're looking to work with businesses who's turnover is less than £1million pa. Such firms will probably have looked at QS but be casting around for a different branding solution....
